Hi all. Im soon to be moving to brighton from manchester and and am a very keen cyclist. I commute daily but also XC for pleasure. what are the bike shops like down in brighton. can anyone recommend a good shop for knowledge and service as i like to have a good shop to deal with. Baker Street Bikes and Rayments are the best in my opinion. Good guys who all passionately cycle and know their onions.

Yeah I prefer Baker Street, and for their sins the Evans in Brighton isn't as bad as it could be

If you like XC there's the Brighton Big Dog this Saturday. It's a mountain bike enduro race but there some places left if you want to do a lap.

i would steer clear of evans, too. they couldn't even put my bike together properly. i have had so many issues with my bike (mostly due to it being set up so badly in the first place) that i don't even take my warranty issues there anymore. and they're expensive. quoted me £40 to fit a chain device and "set up the gears again". what a load of balls! freedom did it for 20 and even tweaked my crank the next day to get it perfect. sydney street, rayment and freedom bikes have all been great so far. freedom the best imo.
